I'm Thankful for Such Wonderful Customers!
As Thanksgiving draws near, I am doing what so many of my friends and family are doing...counting my blessings.
These past few years have been filled with a whirlwind of emotions. From the birth of our dauthter in 2007...to almost losing my husband 6 short months later...to the birth of our son in 2008. {& that was just the big stuff!}
In the midst of all that, was a ginormous career change to "Stay-at-home Mom" and the chance to persue something I had dreamt about for a very long time.
It's only been a couple of short months since I posted my first item for sale in my shop and already, I feel like I have such wonderful customers! So many have had such wonderful things to say about my work and each one puts a smile on my face and makes me feel even more blessed to be doing what I'm doing.

Preslie
Isn't she just the cutest little thing?

Preslie's mom is a perfect example of a "custom design". She originally found this birth announcement in my shop but needed a few changes made to coordinate with the theme and colors for Preslie's 1st birthday party.
After the addition of these whimsical little owls and Preslie's color scheme of pink, purple and brown, we ended up with this:
Mom couldn't decide so she sent me 5 different photos and let me choose. :) Oh, the pressure!
...and I just love her little face in this one!

Oh, it's a Gondolier!
Wendy, who just spent the past year in Germany with her husband {who is in the army} and their beautiful daughter, just moved back to the states. She ordered this Christmas card from me and used two of the most adorable photos of them in Germany and Venice. One of the perks of this gig is that I get to see some of the most beautiful photos of families having a ton of fun. I loved their photo in Venice, riding in a gondola.
I could not, for the life of me, remember what the "Gondola Driver" was called. Against all my urges to rely on Google, as I usually do, I just asked Wendy who politely informed me that they are called Gondoliers. Ah Hah! A Gondolier! Thanks Wendy!

Love & Joy
Officially, Kristin was the first to order a Christmas card from me. Now, I'm a big believer in waiting until Black Friday before even mentioning Christmas but I do love getting a jump-start on Holiday shopping and Christmas cards before Thanksgiving rolls around. Way to be on the ball this year, Kristin!
And, no, I don't even leave the house on Black Friday. I think the last time I did was two years ago for an amazing deal on a gift for my nephew. Maybe it was because I was 6 months pregnant and had my 9 month old daughter with me but I was so exhausted and people were so awful. I came home completly defeated. I'm all for finding a great deal but people were so rude I lost all my Christmas sprit. Plus, I'm more of a Cyber Monday kinda' gal.
